A 3D reaper god-sim
You are the reaper of a small town and, by day, the quiet keeper of its graveyard. Tend the graves so the dead stay put. Nobody dies of old age: you decide when. A soul is worth the whole of a life at 75, and more for every year you let it ripen, if you can keep the soul eaters off it. Accidents and illness release souls too. Reach a soul unseen, reap it, weigh it, load it onto a floppy disk and sell it to the Ferryman.
Spend what you earn on your crypt and your powers, and decide what kind of reaper you are: bless the town towards long, fulfilled lives (few souls, worth a fortune), or curse and jinx it towards short and bitter ones (many souls, cheap).
What you do
- Keep the graveyard by day. Tend the graves so the dead stay put, rebuild the ruins, and hush the rumors about what walks the streets at night.
- Reap by night. Nobody dies of old age; you decide when a soul is ripe. Accidents, illness and storms release souls too.
- Stay unseen. The town sleeps, but its watch does not. Hide behind the Veil, fly as a crow, or get caught.
- Defend your harvest. Soul eaters come for a ripe soul. Strike them down with the scythe.
- Weigh, load, sell. Carry each soul to your crypt, weigh it on the Scales, load it onto a floppy disk and sell it to the Ferryman.
- Choose your path. Bless the town towards long, fulfilled lives (few souls, worth a fortune) or tempt it towards short and bitter ones (many souls, cheap).
- Build something that lasts. Hire the dead through the Beadle, furnish your crypt, restore the graveyard, and earn a posting to a second town behind the mist.
